Class on Thursday was different we went to the library to do our research for project 4. I had to miss class on Tuesday because of a mandatory performance for my art class. I didn’t get to pick my group, and was put into one. In my group we picked D-Day as our topic. We struggled towards the beginning of class to find the section where books on D-Day would be located. Finally after awhile we found a section that had a lot of books on D-Day. We began skimming through the books, to summarize what they talked about. My two that I picked gave good descriptions on what actually occurred on D-Day.

My weekend overall was great, I got to see my family, friends, work, and I went black Friday shopping. My break was also very relaxing; I didn’t have to worry about doing much homework. I was able to sleep in my own bed, which is very comfortable. It felt good to work again for a couple days, even though it wasn’t much I still made some money. Going black Friday shopping was really fun as well; I got a lot of new things that were on sale. We didn’t leave the mall until like 3am. I came back Sunday after work. I was speeding a little bit to make it back and was pulled over by the police. Luckily the machine didn’t work and wouldn’t print out a ticket so I was good to go.

I had a great Thanksgiving; it was so nice to see all of my friends and family! My thanksgiving started off by me working at my job, which is, Celebration Cinema Movie Theater. I worked 1-6, at the beginning it was going by really slow I think at that time everyone was out eating with his or her families. Things started to pick up about 5:30 6 o clock and that’s when I was leaving. I went straight to my grandmas where I got to eat some good food, and then just relaxed there until later because I was going black Friday shopping for the first time. We got to the mall about 11, and then didn’t leave until like 3am. It was so much fun and I got some good stuff with all the deals they were having.

Overall I had a great weekend. I got all of my homework done on that Friday so I didn’t have to worry about anything over the weekend, I could relax and have fun. I hung out with my friends the whole weekend. On Friday we didn’t do much, on Saturday we went to Westerns last football game of the year. It was so nice outside there was no reason not to go, Western put up a fight but they ended up losing the last game. On Sunday we relaxed and watched movies, and then later we went to see some of our friends play in their intermural basketball games. It was a great weekend :)

The play ruined was a really good play! It was long, but the story was really powerful. It made me sad in some way to see what they people had to go threw. How the women and children were treated. The soldiers killed whomever they felt like it whenever they felt like it. Mama’s place was a get a way from all of those things. It was very ironic because they were still having sex with the soldiers but I guess it was with actual consent. Back at their villages it was jus taken from them, many times by many men.

Class on Thursday was very helpful to me for starting project 3. I got a much better understanding of what actually needs to be done, but also what I have to get done for my certain topic. Getting the chance to do the journaling for 2 examples helped a lot as well. I now know what it should look like and already have to start for the project. Overall I’m excited about project 3 I think that I can do a really good job with my topic, which is Tattoos. There are many different tattoos that people get for many different reasons. Seeing the tattoo I can only say my reason of why I think it is what it is, but the person who has the tattoo knows the most.

My weekend was really good; my roommate went home for the weekend so I had our room to myself. All throughout the weekend I just hung with my friends. We went to a couple gatherings that people had at their apartments and just hung out. A lot of fights actually broke out this weekend as well. None involving me or any of my friends though, so that’s good. I also talked to my dad this weekend, which is a big deal because we don’t talk as much. He called and told me that he was proud of me and loved me. We also talked about getting together soon to catch up and just talk.

Class on Thursday was again interesting, reading other people’s fairytales were fun to do. It was cool to see what people would come up with using their imagination. Watching clips from Twilight and the other similar Vampire movie was a good way to show us what we need to do for our project 3. Seeing what things you have to have to make it a vampire movie. Basically what you need to have to make something what it is. I said that those movies were for a crowd of anyone. I think the purpose of them was to tell a story, show emotion, and give us a suspenseful feeling. They did those things by the lighting, the love story, and getting introduced to a character but not really knowing much about them or who they really are.

My weekend was overall really nice. Friday I went to the girl’s basketball game, which was fun to watch. It crazy how football season is almost over and basketball season is here already. On Saturday I went home with my boyfriend, we went to visit his mom and see some of his family. I also got to see one of my best friends for her birthday. All of her family was over to celebrate with her. We came back to Kalamazoo on Sunday and just relaxed for the rest of the day. I didn’t do too much this weekend, but on Sunday night I was exhausted for some reason.
